DESCRIPTION:This year marks the ninth annual GLS Conference at the University of Wisconsin\, Madison. The Games+Learning+Society Conference is known as a grass roots “indie” event where the people who create high-quality digital learning media can gather for a serious think about what is happening in the field and how the field can serve the public interest. SUMMARY:Interaction Design and Children 2013
DESCRIPTION:This year the IDC conference will be co-hosted by the New School and Sesame Workshop in New York City. The IDC’s mission is to bring together researchers\, designers and educators to explore new forms of technology\, design and engaged learning among children. The conference incorporates papers\, presentations\, speakers\, workshops\, participatory design experiences and discussions on how to create better interactive experiences for children. Several of the workshops will also be child-friendly.\n\nIDC 2013 will offer a wide-ranging program\, supporting and facilitating the exchange of ideas within and between all of these communities\, with a special emphasis on supporting interaction and impact for children in at-risk and marginalized populations.\n\nRegistration begins February 11\, 2013.
