DESCRIPTION:In a world where young children are surrounded by media choices\, can digital tools be better deployed to enhance early literacy skills?\n\nLisa Guernsey (Director\, Early Education Initiative and Director\, Learning Technologies Project New America) and Michael Levine (Executive Director\, The Joan Ganz Cooney Center) will address this question and share findings from their forthcoming book\, Tap\, Click\, Read\, which analyzes the current digital media and literacy marketplace.\n\nThese experts in early childhood program and policy development will also share findings from The Seeding Reading Project\, a multi-year initiative that examines if and how digital media can be used in early childhood programs to support literacy development.
