Join the Expanded Learning & Afterschool Project at the National Press Club on Tuesday, February 5 for the launch of Expanding Minds and Opportunities: Leveraging the Power of Afterschool and Summer Learning for Student Success, edited by Terry K. Peterson, Ph.D. Expanding Minds is a groundbreaking compendium of studies, reports and commentaries by more than 100 thought leaders including elected officials, educators, researchers, advocates and other prominent authors.

The Cooney Center’s Executive Director Michael H. Levine has co-authored a chapter in this seminal work, which presents more than 400 pages of bold and persuasive evidence from the field that engaging opportunities—drawing from robust partnerships—yield positive outcomes for students and for community and family engagement in learning.

All attendess will receive a complimentary copy of the book, and authors will be available to sign. If you’re unable to make it to Washington, DC, you may sign up to participate in the event via webcast.
